General Urology

Mr Nedas sees both adult and paediatric patients and sees both male and female patients. He offers consultations for all general urological problems such as:

• Management and preventative treatment of kidney stones
• Kidney stone laser treatment including rigid and flexible ureterorenoscopy and Laser fragmentation of stones
• Investigations for raised PSA and prostate cancer diagnosis including MRI and prostate biopsy. 
• Assessment and treatment for Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) including Rezum and TURP
• Investigation and management of  problems passing urine, including urinary frequency, urinary urgency, poor flow and nocturia (getting up multiple times at night to pass urine)
• Treatment for recurrent UTI’s (Urinary Tract Infections)
• Investigations for Haematuria (blood in the urine)
• Foreskin problems including circumcision
• Diagnosis and treatment of prostatitis
• Diagnosis and treatment of testicular and scrotal lumps, including epidydimal cysts and hydroceles
• Vasectomy, both under local anaesthetic and general anaesthetic. 

Paediatric Urology

Mr Nedas offers a general paediatric urology service including the treatment of enuresis (bedwetting), dysfunctional voiding, urinary frequency, foreskin issues and undescended testicles. All paediatric patients are seen at The Candover Clinic in Basingstoke where specialist paediatric nurses are available to support patients.

During his urology training Mr Nedas completed a dedicated year of paediatric urology at Great Ormond Street Hospital. He has four children of his own and understands that many children are anxious about their visit to the hospital. He is very experienced at putting both patients and their families at ease.

Prostate problems

The majority of men will suffer from some sort of urinary dysfunction during their lifetime. 



 Mr Nedas offers consultations for concerns regarding prostate issues which include Investigations for:

• Raised PSA levels
• Increased urgency and frequency
• Nocturia (getting up multiple times in the night to pass urine)
• Poor or slow urinary flow
• investigations for diagnosis of prostate cancer

Vasectomy

Mr Nedas offers both local anaesthetic vasectomy and general anaesthetic vasectomy.

The first step is to book  a consultation for a discussion with Mr Nedas and to confirm that vasectomy is the most appropriate option for you.  Insurance companies will not cover consultations for vasectomies. You will need to self fund this.

Following your consultation you will be sent a fixed price cost for your vasectomy. Local Anaesthetic vasectomies from £1070 and General Anaesthetic vasectomies from £1650

Following your vasectomy you will need to provide a post vasectomy sample at 16 weeks. Once the results of this have been received it will be confirmed to you that you can stop using alternative methods of contraception.
